hey guys ive been slack for the last few months and while i have been fishin alot and have had success most days i havnt posted on here in months so ill give ya's all an up date

Fished the annual st Georges basin lure and fly flattie comp the Australia day weekend

Well for my first comp ever we did win a lucky door prize of a couple of packets of plastics which was a real bonus Smiley

We decided to go for the mixed bag and found a few decent bream biggest goin 705grams a flattie around 50cm and a couple of snapper biggest going 36cm, that would of qualified us for the mixed bag (min 3 fish) but the snapper died in the live well Sad and we also landed a decent tailor around 50cm but i should of checked the eligible fish list as we chucked him back in straight away

it would of been nice to seen how we would of placed but it was still a great days fishing and there never was a quiet moment

Today

I was goin to enter the southern bream comp held in botany today but after the spring let go on the trailer and me not being able to get it assessed buy the insurance company that plan back fired

Never fear i spent all friday arvo/night making new brackets replacing springs and winch fixing everything up and i decided to head to botany anyways to see how i would of gone

Today was tough with strong NE winds but still managed to get 3 bream that would of gone into the 5 bag limit and the biggest being this monster
 Grin

At first i thought it was a decent sized trev or maybe a stray jew but in 2 m of water it took some landing maybe 7 or so min and a good part of that befor i even seen colour!

It was caught just off towra point over the weed beds on a ecogear zx30  i would definitely have to recommend Any lure fisherman to own one as in 3 outings it has out fished any blade or plastic i have used

Anyways sorry for the long post guys there will be more reports coming soon

Pete
